I have this error when I start my router
System Bootstrap, Version 12.2(8r) [cmong 8r], RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
Copyright (c) 2003 by cisco Systems, Inc.
Bad RAM at location 0x00000000: wrote 0x00000000, read 0x00000400
Which is the problem? How can I fix it?

Hi Friend,
Can you try to reseat the RAM module? The problem is likely being caused by a bad contact, I have seen this before.

How can I reset the RAM? Is it necessary to remove the cover?

You will have to open the chassis to access the memory.
You might check on the website of a memory vendor (I like Memoryx.com (http://www.memoryx.net/memory-cisco.html)) and see if they have a layout of the inside of the router (especially where the RAM is).
That will give you an idea of what you will be looking at when you open the chassis.
