cisco logging

Hello, I want to create a log of commands that I enter into my switch and router.

I have used the following command:

logging buffered 128000 informational

However when I am ready to view my past commands, I enter "show logging" but I do not see the past commands.

What am I doing wrong here ?

Thank you for any help.

Hi,

you can use the following to enable the features you want:

archive

log config

logging enable

notify syslog

hidekeys

view the command history using 'show archive log config all'

Note

 - notify syslog  - generates a syslog message

- this only logs config commands, if you want to log all commands - use Tacacs, and you can see who entered what.
