Hi,

I'm planning Cisco Nexus 3172PQ with QSFP-4SFP10G-CU5M cable.

I read the configuration guide:

Nexus 3172
The 3172 has a single hardware profile, 48X10G+breakout6x40g.
The 40GB ports can be broken out individually with the "speed 10000" command. ?
They can be collapsed with the "speed 40000" command.?

6 x QSFP ports and 48 SFP+ ports

The following is the default port mode and supports breakout: 48x10G+breakout6x40G The following are the fixed port modes that do not support breakout: 48x10G+6x40G 72x10G

I don't understand what difference between 48x10G+breakout6x40G and 48x10G+6x40G/72x10G.

And can breakouted port configure port-channel?

There is a breakout cable exclusively for the QSFP port.  The breakout cable "branches" the QSFP (40 Gbps) port into four individual SFP+ ports.

I have  48x10G+breakout6x40G profile  and the correct cable but ports still down ... 

any advice ???

Maybe the current OS of the appliance does NOT support the breakout cable.
