Hi,
Can anyone help me with Cisco SLB. Here is what I need to do (reference the attached document).
The quote distrubution VLAN has 4 machines that I need to load balance. The machines are dual homed and HSRP runs between the two switches. I need to configure Cisco SLB. The document on Cisco SLB is not conculsive on how to do this. What happens if I configure Cisco SLB on prod-sw1 and it fails how will prod-sw2 assume control of the load balancing function?
The switches here are 6509E with Sup720 engines.
Any help well rated.
Regards
Gavin

Hi,
Regarding the failover of the Lb , the Lb is linked to the hsrp
sample :
ip slb vserver VS_XXX
virtual 10.0.x.x tcp https
serverfarm SF_XXX
inservice standby YYYY
where YYY is the hsrp name of the subnet where your vip lies.

could you just clarify a point here, I need to set up the server group that is being load balanced. do i configure this on both switches and link the group to the hsrp interface?
