Cisco Stacking

Hi,

My question is about what is cisco stacking ? Is it works in copper based ports or fiber also. Please share with me your valueable suggestions with practicals.

Hi

Its neither copper or fibre the switches are stacked using specific hardware stackports at the back of each switch , once  formed the stack can act as one logical unit for redundancy and extra ports and power

As Mark mentioned, often "special" stack ports are used, and when the stack functions as one logical device.  Often another advantage of the special stack ports, they may offer more bandwidth than standard device ports.
