Dear community,
Hope everything is fine,
I am a network administrator and recently i faced a very strange behavior. The connection port on one of our customer's switches (1000-HBOOT-M) always appears up/down frequently.
The connection status is as follows:
The G48 port of C1000 is cascaded to the core switch, and the G43 port is cascaded to the G48 port of the switch SG2250-52; the remaining interfaces of the two switches are connected to PCs, printers, and IP phones.
I checked the cascade interface and SPT protocol, and tried multiple methods, but the fault still exists.
My question is what is causing this issue and what should we investigate further to resolve this issue.
Please help. Leo.

- This could be a simple connectivity problem, you can also look at the port (error) counters for the involved interfaces
to get additional info's , if any.
The customer should configure a central syslog server on all switches to collect logs at all time ,this may provide
extra info's when the problem occurs , but is also useful to follow up logs during normal times,
