Hello I have one question, who can explain to me why in this situation where one IP camera is installed in location B and its connection to location A is with fiber optic single mode and in two sides of fiber optic single mode cable there are media converters.
The schema is IP camera -> ftp cable->Media converter-> fiber optic single mode cable->Media converter-> ftp cable -> Cisco switch.
The Ip cameras work, but in Cisco Switch I don't se mac addresses?
The interfaces status is connected, link is up, protocol is up, the cameras work..
But I am not able to see mac addresses in cisco switch interfaces?
What is wrong?

Hello,
what happens if you ping the IP camera ? Is the MAC address visible then ?
