Cisco WS-C3750X-24S-S specifications

Hi ,

We are going to use Cisco WS-C3750X-24S-S as L3 switch in the network which will have all fiber uplink  ,this is Switch is GE SFP switch and i will have 12 fiber uplink .

and 4 Ethernet connections

please help in ordering the hardware.

 

Also if i am stacking 3 switches apart from stack cable should order a stack module as well,switch that will be stacked are of model WS-2960X-24PS-L

You cannot stack 3750s with 2960s.

If you're going to use the 3750 as L3, you might need the -E suffix for full routing features.

The SFP ports are already Ethernet, so could you clarify what the other 4 Ethernet connections are for?  If they're for copper, you could, I believe, use copper SFPs.

What help do you need in ordering hardware?  You have the device model.  However, for ordering, you might consider ordering a 2nd power supply for redundancy.  Or, if you never need more ports, you might compare the price of the -12S with an uplink module vs. the -24S without.

I want to know if i need to order any SFP module to connect fiber uplinks.

Not if you're using the an all SPF port model, such as the -24S.
