Clarification regarding STP root bridge in my case

Hi, can you clarify this:

Please find attached sketch.

Imagine I am running rapid pvst on this network.

I thought about making the "3750" switch as my spanning-tree root bridge.

My question:

On this type of environment, where I have switches cascaded (for example switch 1 and switch 2), is this valid if I still make the 3750 as my root brige?

Someone made a comment that given that for this type of scenario (with cascaded switches), setting up the 3750 as the root bridge may not work well since the 3750 switch is not necessarily the "central hub" for switches on the network.

Please let me know your thought.

The "ideal" config would be for you to have the 3750 act as the collapsed core and act as the aggreagation point for ALL of your switches if possible. I would definitely make the 3750 the root. Do you even have redundant connections between switches??

I agree that all switches should be connecting to the 3750.

I have redundant connections only between the switches distribution-core.

The access layer switches (which are uplinked to distribution) are not redundant.

Yes, you should make 3750, root bridge. It is correct approach and will work well.
