In a scenario where there are multiple instances of VSMs, is there a way to limit which VEM can communicate with which VSM? or will all the VEMs attach to all the available VSMs?
1 vem will only attach to one vsm. When in vcenter, the port profile will have the name on the parent vsm following their name. When you configure the system uplinks on an esx host, you are also choosing which vsm that host will use with its vem.
