Con 0 connection to MRV

I'm having issues with sessioning from an MRV console to the console port of c6509. I'm thinking it might be a newer code

or something.  I am able to session fine to other cisco devices so it is not the cable. I am having trouble with several of the newer boxes

including a c3750G-12S as well.

Code versions on 6509.

Any suggestions on how I might configure lin con 0 ? I played with alot of settings but still connection refused.

I have ruled out the cable and the MRV console port settings as I was able to session into a PIX fine [using same port and cable].

Seems to work fine on older c6500s [v 12.1(19)E1].

I'm having the name issue with my lab equipment. All 4 switches aren't working via mrv to console port. But all my 4 routers are working. I tried straight thru cables, crossover and rollover cables. Rollover cables work with the routers but not the switches.

Did you try to enable the flow control to CTS/RTS on your console client?

I tried cts, xon, and also tried disabling it too. still don't work. I also want to add that i can console into the switch via USB -> null serial -> cisco console cable.
