Config register 0x2942

Hi,

Anybody knows what is my switch trying to say by "Configuration register = 0x2102 (will be 0x2942 at next reload)"

I googled the meaning of config register 0x2942 but I cannot find any explanation.

Here is the whole CLI output containing the weird message (at the bottom):

Hi Mifi,

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/routers/10000-series-routers/50421-config-register-use.html#anc6

The configuration register can be used to change router behavior in several ways, such as:
- how the router boots (into ROMmon, NetBoot)
- options while booting (ignore configuration, disable boot messages)
- console speed (baud rate for a terminal emulation session)

When the config register is 0x2942:
- Ignores break
- Boots into ROM if initial boot fails
- 4800(?) console baud rate ---> I'm not sure the baud rate.
- Ignores the contents of Non-Volatile RAM (NVRAM) (ignores configuration)

When you switch reboots, it will come up with the above changes. If it is not intentional, you can put it back with the global configuration level 'config-register 0x2102' command.

The "9" means the console baud rate has been modified from 9600 to 4800.
