Hi,

How do I configure a router to support RLOGIN incomming connections.

I configured

line vty 0 4

login local

transport input all

I have some username's confilgured in the router

when I try to rlogin to the router I get connection refused.

I did a debug. I saw the connection attempt, then the router sent back a reset (RST).

I could not find any instructions on how to configure for rlogin  input connections to the router.

Thanks

Steve

Steve,

I understand that this is an evasive question but why would you want to use such an old and dangerous protocol to access your device? Telnet and SSH are the de-facto standards here and you should be using them instead of RLOGIN.

Best regards,

Peter

There may be a bug in the IOS I am using. I tried it on a different router and worked fine.
