Configuring traffic limit on 3560

Hi,

I have an 24 port 3560G which i want to use to limit per port the throughput (input and output).

For example,

Port 1: 300mbit up (from CPE to switch) and 100mbit down

Port 2: 400mbit up (from CPE to switch) and 200mbit down

Port 3: 500mbit up (from CPE to switch) and 400mbit down

Port 4: full (no limit) that is the easy one.

I have looked at different configs and could not find the correct one.

Any pointers ?

Posting

On a 3560G you can configure a service police to police ingress rates.  You can also activate QoS and shape, per port, egress queues.

Look at the chapter in the user guide, for your IOS version, about QoS features.

Likely, the examples on Cisco's main site are better than what I would post.

BTW, you'll find more examples under "3750", the 3560's sibling (except for the 3750s stacking, they are just about identical).
