Connecting small business pro ESW520-24P via wireless bridge
I have installed a new Cisco SFE2000 switch in a remote building and to connect it to an ESW520-24P switch on the LAN I have also installed a Cisco 1242 wireless bridge with the access points configured as root and non-root.
I have connected the root access point into port e8 on the ESW520 swtich and the non-root AP into port e1 on the SFE2000.
My problem is that whilst the ESW520 shows the MAC address of the SFE2000 in the STP port settings screen for port e8 the log file shows a warning that the "SFE2000 switch MAC address is trying to access through port e8 which is locked" and i cannot ping through to the SFE2000.
Do i need to plug the root access point into one of the GE uplink ports? this i guess is the normal way to connect switches but because the SFE2000 is being indirectly connected via the wireless bridge I opted to use one of the ethernet ports instead?
Picture below shows the LAN layout for info' any help much aprpeciated.
