Hi,

We encouter problems flow between two switches at work. The first is a Cisco 3550 and the second is an Alcatel 6400.

For the tests, I connected a PC on each switches on acces port. The 2 switches are connected by a trunk port (the 24th for each switches).

I forgot to tell that the 2 switches are on the same vlan (5).

I made some tests and it takes about 2 minutes to transfer 45mo from one pc to the other one.

I can give a part of the configuration :

Alcatel :

Hi,

can you try with auto negotiation of speed and duplex mode on the Cisco side ?

Regards.

Alain

Thank you for your answer but it didn't help. It still took 124 secs for the transfer.

I tried your solution with an access port between the 2 switches, the transfer was a bit faster (~~ 100 secs) but it's still not enough.
