The flash has just under a GB free. Current OS is at 16.12.9. I've attempted to copy the 16.12.13 IOS bin file to flash through TFTP, SFTP, HTTP (in the WebGui), and even with the file management page in the gui. From two different PCs at this point, one over WiFi, one on a 1Gb LAN port directly to the switch. All attempts start off ok, then eventually fail. The weird thing is that no matter how long it goes before failure, when I check the size of the aborted file in flash, it's always 60k. Even if I watched the dialog uploading and saw it got to 300-ish Mb before failing, when I check the partial file in flash, it's 60k again. The Logs are useless, they only report an "unspecified" error. I'm at the point of wondering if I have a bad spot in the flash memory maybe (although fsck reported it was clean). I've downloaded the bin file a second time just in case my copy was corrupt, but no change. I'm not sure what to try next.
Can I load this up with a USB drive in the front panel port? And even if I can, could this be indicating an issue that'll potentially brick the switch if I do kick off a firmware update? Other than this, this switch appears to operating just fine.
