Devices on Home Router can't ping Cisco Lab

Forgotten2852
Level 1
Level 1

My devices connected to my Home Router are not able to ping down to my Cisco lab. The furthest I can successfully ping to is my Cisco 2811 Router exit interface fa0/0 ( 192.168.1.254). Here is my topology:

Capture.PNG

A gentleman before suggested using static routes from the Home Router to the Cisco 2811. I attempted to do this on my ASUS RT-AC88U. I say attempted because I am unsure if I performed this correctly. Here is the current setup:

Thanks for looking. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @Forgotten2852 ,

Could you share your compressed exercise to review the settings?

Regards

Hello,

I guess this is an extension of your previous post ? In which you said that all devices now have Internet connectivity, is that still true ?

Can you post the full configs (show run) of the 2811, as well as the L3 switch ?

Hello @luis_cordova ,

Sorry I am unfamiliar with what you mean by my compressed exercise. Can you please let me know more detail of what that is? I will do what I can to get it for you!

Hey @Georg Pauwen ,

Yeah this is an extension from my previous post. All devices still have internet connectivity. I'm using the server right now to type this message. I've come across this new issue because the content on my Media Server, which is connected to the L3 switch, is not accessible from the Home Network or from the internet. That is where I realized every device connected to the Home Network cannot ping down into the Cisco lab, which I think is my issue. The furthest down I can ping is 192.168.1.254.

Here are my run configs:

Hi @Forgotten2852 ,

For the image you show, it seems to be an exercise configured in PacketTracer. If so, you can compress the exercise (winzip) and attach it to review the settings.

Regards

@luis_cordova

Oh! I see what you're saying. I built the packet tracer configuration for testing purposes before I started to put together my physical topology. My physical lab is also a 2811, 3560, and 2960, if that matters. If you would like to look over the packet tracer I created, I updated the configurations to match my current physical lab configuration and will attach it to this message!

Minor Update.

If I disable windows defender firewall on all PC's as well as enable the Home Network(Asus Router) Static routes, shown from the screenshot displaying on my first post, I can sometimes get successful pings into the cisco lab network, but they always reply from 192.168.1.254. I don't see how pings are consecutively finding their way one minute, then not the next. I also don't know why they are replying from 192.168.1.254 instead of the actual destination.
