Hi,

When I run #sh inter tengig1/2 detail

I got the output "Diagnostic Monitoring is not implemented"

With the same command on tenig1/1, i receive information on the temp, voltage, Current, Optical Tx..

it does not show that is the module here on 1/2

Full-duplex, 1000Mb/s, link type is auto, media type is 1000BaseSX

Diagnostic Monitoring is not implemented. - i am thinking this is not have DOM compatable.

check the inventory - show inventory (see what SFP installed on 1/2)

Best guess is that the optic inserted into te1/2 does not support DOM. Verify with its vendor that DOM is supported in that optic. If that vendor is Cisco and DOM support is claimed for that optic in your current IOS version running on the IE-3300, open a TAC case.

If the optic is non-Cisco, TAC will ask you to replace the optic with a Cisco-branded one to verify DOM operation in te1/2. If the Cisco-branded optic does provide DOM info, then you are on your own with the non-Cisco optic. Cisco TAC typically does not troubleshoot non-Cisco optics in cases where Cisco optics function correctly (you might get them to troubleshoot if you can provide evidence that the IE-3300 is not complying with the IEEE PHY and/or MSA for that optic).

Disclaimers: I am long in CSCO. Bad answers are my own fault as they are not AI generated.

can it be activated?
could it be defective?
How could I check pls

No, this feature is not enabled on the software side.

The diagnostics module might be down

I'm planning to change the SFP modules on the Switch

how can i then proceed with diagnostic module troubleshooting before replacement?

To ensure that you buy/source an SFP that supports DOM, always try to buy the -RGD variant of the SFP (Industrial Temperature Range).  If it is meant to be used in an IOT environment, it will need the extended temperature range, and it will need DOM (bad quality fiber)
