Disable MLD on 65xx/76xx ?

Hello Everybody,

I am trying to find if there is any way to completely disable MLD at least on a specific L3 interface, ignoring any incoming MLD traffic. If that isn't possible on an interface level, is there a way to disable MLD globally?

I realize this is possible in 72xx routers at least by issuing "no ip mld router" in the interface context, but this does not help for the 65xx/76xx's. Is there a command that has the same effect?

Thank you in advance for any insight on this.

Hi,

It appears that MLD is only supported for IPv6 in 6500

have a look at this link

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/ipv6/command/reference/ipv6_06.html#wp2168125

Yes, the interface in question does have IPv6 configured. Apologies for not clarifying this initially. We want IPv6 functionality, but not any type of multicast traffic (MLD, PIMv6 etc.). However no matter what we do, I do see for example MLD v2 listener reports being sent out of the interface.
