Discarding Port & BPDU

Does the switch send bpdu when port in discarding state (Rapid spanning tree protocol)?

No, it only sends BPDUs if it is a designated port.

Hello.

Nexus devices has "Bridge assurance" feature enabled by default.

It makes the device to send BPDUs on all operational ports including alternate and backup ports.

But other switches without the feature sends BPDU only on designated ports.
