Hi All,
does cisco 7206 router support PPPoE client mode ? i have got a router and it's running
c7200p-boot-mz.122-33.SRE5.bin but i dont find "pppoe-client" command under the gi0/0 interface.
when i tried to upgrade it with "
c7200-adventerprisek9-mz.151-4.M4.bin" then router thrown an error saying this image is not for this platform.
plz help me how to solve the issue.
Thanks

The command under the gi0/0 interface should be pppoe enable.
Here is a sample config: https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-6050
c7200-adventerprisek9-mz.151-4.M4.bin
That image is for 7200 with NPEs other than NPE-G2. Your prior image had
c7200p-boot-mz.122-33.SRE5.bin thus your upgrade image would read:
c7200p-adventerprisek9-mz.151-4.M4.bin

Hi Edison,
the doc u shared - in the client router, under the interface, there is command "
pppoe-client dial-pool-number 1". this command is not there in 7200. i think this command is requried for the router to act as a PPPoE client.
---------------------
interface GigabitEthernet0/1
ip address 10.1.1.2 255.255.255.0
! Configured for inside network
duplex auto
speed auto
pppoe enable group global
! PPPoE configured for this interface
pppoe-client dial-pool-number 1 dial-on-demand
! This interface will be used as a PPPoE client medium using dialer 1 interface
!-------------------------
let me try that image.
Thanks
