Does data flows across stack cable in Cisco 3850 ?

Can anyone confirm if the server 1 can ping serer 2 with this physical setup ?

 No other cables in the setup.

Also, if the answer to above is correct, can data be 'routed' across the stack cable as well ? or the stack cable just is used for switching of data ?
