Downgrading C3650-48PD from 16.3.5 to 03.07.05

Hello,

I'm trying to downgrade a C3650-48PD running cat3k_caa-universalk9.16.03.05 from 16.3.5 to 03.07.05 and cannot do so.  I copy the image (cat3k_caa-universalk9.SPA.03.07.05.E.152-3.E5.bin) into flash but there is no software install command available.  Has anyone run into this issue?  This is the first switch I've seen running the newer code.

Hi Mark,  Thanks for the response.  I ended up having to convert the stack from bundle to install mode.  I did software expand file flash:cat3k_caa-universalk9.SPA.03.07.05.E.152-3.E5.bin to copy the file to all switches in the stack. This created a packages.conf file that I could then use in the boot string.  I reloaded and did a software clean.  It is now running the 03.07.05E image.

just set the boot statements save it then reload it , you don't have to use software command its just one option to upgrade/downgrade

boot-start-marker
boot system switch all flash:cat3k_caa-universalk9.SPA.03.06.07b.E.152-2.E7b.bin
boot-end-marker
diagnostic bootup level minimal

Then check show boot
xxxxxxxx#sh boot
---------------------------
Switch 1
---------------------------
Current Boot Variables:
BOOT variable = flash:cat3k_caa-universalk9.SPA.03.06.07b.E.152-2.E7b.bin;

Boot Variables on next reload:
BOOT variable = flash:cat3k_caa-universalk9.SPA.03.06.07b.E.152-2.E7b.bin;
Allow Dev Key = yes
Manual Boot = no
Enable Break = no
