Due to invalid MAC address

I am getting following message on switch console window:-

Mar 31 02:24:21.795: NRGYZ:ENDPOINT:Unable to discover endpoint 10.0.0.4 on GigabitEthernet0/24 due to invalid MAC address

What does it mean?

Hi Abhijeet,

This is just my thought. I once again say that since i dont have much knowledge on energywise config/technology.

However the error-message you see does look like to me that there is some other device already was on Gi0/24 and now 1 more device is trying to connect. I think the energywise only allows 1 PoE and 1 Non-PoE per port. So check whether you have more than 1 device (poe or non-poe) device is attempting to connect over this Gi0/24.

Once again i am saying this is just my thought and i leave it open to others to comment on further.
