This network has lan users connected to the layer 3 6500 switch. DHCP is configured on a server , whose gateway is the layer 3 switch.
if the lan users need to get their ip address from the dhcp configured on the server, what configuration should be done on the switch to achieve this.

Hi,
under each vlan interface put a ip helper-address x.x.x.x where x.x.x.x is ip address of server

if you have Two Dhcp servers give both primary and secondary DHCP servers using the same command one by one .

Just wanted to add the helper statements should only be needed on the VLAN interfaces with DHCP clients if the DHCP server isn't on the same subnet.
Further, if the VLAN gateway IP is a secondary IP, there's another configuration change you need to make as the default configuration only supports the primary interface IP.
