Hi,
it seems, there is no EEM support on the Catalyst 2960X. I am using
Catalyst 290X-24PD-L and IOS 15.0(2).EX1
and I am trying to fetch neighbor discorvery (CDP) events to set the interface description automatically.
I have been checking the EEM presentation from Cisco live this year, but the 2960X was not mentioned.
Maybe somebody can shed some light into this?
Thanks
Knut

Hi,
according to Cisco Feature Navigator, this feature is not available on this platform.

Hi,
thanks. This is sad but true :-)
I was looking for roadmap information in regards to EEM and 2960X, but was not able to find it. Do you know, if there is roadmap information on that topic?
regards
Knut

None. This is on purpose.
Cisco has drawn a line-on-the-sand about what a cheap Catalyst 2K can/can't vs what Catalyst 3K can. And one of them is EEM and TCL.
If you need EEM support, your next bet will have to be 3650 or 3850.

Thanks! It is understood. But I don't think the client will pay more expensive switches, just for this feature. :-)
