erasing configuration from 6500

can any one help me to delet the startup and running configuration from the 6500 my switch is using cat os. i also want to know how can i get the various memory detail like amount of RAM FLASH and also about other supervisior engine?

If it strictly catos isuue the "clear config all" command . If it has a msfc card just log into the msfc and do a "write erase" command and reload the card . Use the show version " and the dir bootflash: command to get the flash sizes . If it has a pcmcia card do a dir slot0: or a dir disk0:

Hi,

All you need to do to clear everything is

do a clear config all on the CatOS, if you have a MSFC do a wr er (write erase).

When doing the MSFC3, you do the write erase, and will have to issue a reload. It will ask

you to save your config, and just type No, or "N".

Use the sho verion to get the other information you need, check below:
