Hi all,

I have a switch connect to 2 backbone(BB).

Now i saw the lights when connect to BB1 is not light but i do not know which command will show the root cause or troubleshooting.

I want to know its caused by hardware, physical port or whatever.

Any on can sharing the experiences how to show and troubleshooting this issue?

I also checked the connection and port 1g is fine.

Show tech-support is alread here.

Any help is appreciated.

Ok.  Thanks for the output.  Can you please post the output to the following additional commands:

1.  Command:  test cable tdr interface G0/1;

2.  Wait for about 5 to 7 seconds;

3.  Command:  sh cable tdr interface G0/1; and

4.  Post the output to #3.

Hi leolaohoo,

Here is my result after test cable:

@Jawad Mukhtar: I already checked signal, cable fiber are fine.

Best regards,

Oopps.  That's a fibre optic.  The command is for copper.

Swap the two fibre runs.

I already doing something to check related this issue, but not successful.

Do you think it caused by hardware?

Do i need to recompile this switch?

Any help is appreciate,

If you've swapped the G0/1 into G0/2 and vice versa and you still can't get G0/1 to light up, then there's a chance the SFP could be faulty.

Change the SFP.

As my  picture already attache here(in the first post).

The lights in port Gi0/2 is light then i take the 2 fibers to pluging into port Gi0/1 ---> not light(fail).

Eventhought, i take the switch into another rack ---> same result(not light). I don't think it is SFP.

Although, i still saw the red light in the port gi0/1.

Do you think it's caused by hardware? and how to detected the cause it by port hardware or not?
