HI
i would like to know what happen if a configure a etherchannel (LACP or PAGP) using media converters (UTP to FO) in middle of the links, (ie SWITCH---TRANSEIVER------FO link-----TRANSEIVER-----SWITCH).
what happen if one of the fibers is broken?, from the switch perspective and since it is connected to the transeiver the links will remain up, so does the channel protocol realize this and will eliminate that link of the bundle or it keeps sending frames to that port?
Many thanks.

Hello Julio,
the channel protocol LACP or PAGP should detect the lack of received control frames and it should remove the link from the bundle. This is one very good reason to use LACP.
The key point is that LACP messages are exchanged on each member link, other protocols like STP are not exchanged on each member link because STP sees the bundle as a single logical link.
Hope to help
