Failover for a Cisco Catalyst 2960-x switch

Hi all

I have two stacked catalyst 2960-x switches. what can I do to provide fail-over, so that if one 2960-x fails, the other 2960-x will takeover ?

If the 2960-X  stacked Switches.

 

fail over works as below :

 

1. If you have uplink connected to your Core  - Switch1 and Switch2 ( both connected to Core) - if the master fails, Slave become master and start forwarding traffic.

2. if the end device have single leg connection to Switch 1, that will not have redundency

3. only device have dual leg connection to switch 1 and switch 2 have redundancy.
