Enter the serial number into the Device Coverage Checker.

Thanks Leo i have checked on coverage checker its showing me WS-C3750X-48PF-S and its still showing me status covered, but thing is is that FAKE or Genuine as its showing me different model in description, if I am going to sell this one will it be a counterfeit?

Thanks

If you search the Cisco website there is no such thing as a 6750 switch so yes it is fake.  I used to work on the NMCI network contract and built out the West coast bases so I worked with Hundreds of switches.  During this time I came across three counterfeit switches.

I didn't even know it until I tried to update the IOS.  When attempting to add the new IOS the New IOS during bootup would respond back saying that this was not Cisco Hardware and it was not supported.  THen it wouldn't load any further.

Apparently they run a Cisco clone operating system using Linux.  Try to do an IOS update.  Don't delete the current IOS, just upload a new IOS and try booting off of that.

Now the fake switches I came across were 3750X models and came up in the serial number link you have above.  My guess is since the 3750 series is EOL that they just slapped the 6750 on it hoping to pass it off.

They would have to do changes to their hardware to clone the looks of the new switches and this was a cheaper way to go.

Where did you get it?

If you upgraded the firmware to 15.2(4)E10 yourself (and the switch did not come pre-loaded with this version), then it is not a fake.

Cisco has "baked" a few systems verification checks (not visible even in console) to check if the IOS has been tampered and if the switch is a fake or not.
