I have read many of the data sheets on the Nexus switches about FCoE.
The comany I work for also has FICON as well. Does the Nexus switch
series have support for FICON? If yes and what speed? What modules
support FICON, with how many interfaces on the module?
Thank you,
Jeff

FICON is IBM proprietary technology and it is not supported on the Nexus platform. For road map specific question, please contact your Cisco sales team.

My only possible solution is the MDS 9000 series? To my understanding this chassis
can support FICON and FCoE. Please confirm and will this chassis be around for the next
several years?
Thank you,
Jeff

Yes, you can try the MDS 9500 series. MDS 9500 is been out for many years and might be around for a while. However, like I said before, for road map specific question, please contact your Cisco sales team. We cannot discuss road map specific question in the public.

I have looked at the MDS 9100, 9200 & 9500 series. The only thing I have not
be able to find is 10Gbps Ethernet interfaces to help aggregate multiple 2Gbps
FICON interfaces. To allow us reduce the several FICON DWDM links to only a
few 10Gbps Ethernet links. Do you know if there is any other products that
Cisco have available that could possibly do this 2Gbps FICON to 10Gbps Ethernet
then at the other side of the DWDM to reserved it back from 10Gbps Ethernet into
2 Gbps FICON?
Thank you

Not that I know of. The FICON technology is controlled by IBM and I would think it is their choice to release an Ethernet standard.
