So I have a pair of lab 4510 switches joined VSS.

The standby SUPs in both switches are showing standby-cold RPR mode. Any ideas?

What is the output of "sh redun"?

Yes it is. Both WS-C4510R+E have dual SUPs.

See SHOW REdun, module and running configs below. Secondary 4510 has identical VSS configs, exdluding virtual numbers, links, and so forth.

I think this is ok and it is normal. Sup-5 in each chassis is in SSO mode and sup-6 is RPR.

The config is also correct.

But the status light on both standby RPR modules is flashing. I thought I am supposed to be able to console into them and it be responsive and actually show it is "standby" in the hostname or something or I guess I am incorrect?

I have never configured a quad sup VSS, and I am not sure if you can console to the standby but as far SSO vs RPR the behavior seems to be correct.

My threads are related to the 4510 and VSS in general, but each issue is different. First it was booting correct image, then I experienced another problem, etc. That is all. I resolved everything up to this. Now VSS is up, however I am experiencing the issue stated above.
