GLBP issue with Linux hosts

We are starting to migrate our Layer 3 to our Nexus 7K's.  We are configuring glbp on the SVI's and are having issues with Linux appliances on that VLAN.  When both interfaces are no shut some of the hosts don't have network access, when we shutdown the secondary they are able to work properly.  I have found some posts that there could be issues with the linux kernel and glbp, but nothing definite.

Anyone have any thoughts/ideas?

Thanks,

Joe

Hi Joe,

There is a documentation available for the problem you might be facing in the form of a bug.

The bug ID is: CSCeg05955

You can try the 2nd workaround mentioned in its details however as the last line suggests, it would not be fixed by Cisco as end devices should not invalidate their ARP entry before using the unicast ARP.

Thanks,
