Hi all.
I have one remote site with three routers/links.
Two links have the same bw and need to be balanced, the third has lower bw and should be used as backup only when the first two links fail.
To balance the upstream traffic on the main two links, I need to use GLBP (no other L3 devices on that site).
There is a way to add the third router on the GLBP group for availability only, but not as virtual forwarder?
Thanks
Mauro

Sure, just use GLBP weighting then set the weight of the third router to be below the lower threshold.
This document should show you how to configure it, but if you need more help just let me know.

Hi Gregory,
thanks for the answer.
I have one problem, I can't set a weight below the the lower threshold.
Should I configure a "false" track?

OK, I have thought this though and it should still be doable, but it starts to get really convoluted with a lot of track objects coming into play and would be a bear to troubleshoot.
You may be better off just setting the weight on the third router to 1 the first two to 254 then set a decrement of 254 on them. If you have less then ~500 clients in the subnet, the third router should not receive any traffic normally.
