GLC-T SFP in Cisco 4506.

Hi,

How GLC-T module would operate in Cisco 4506 with Sup7-E, assuming it would be installed in X4624-SFP-E 1000base module? Is it going to operate in

1Gb only or 100Mb as well? This is to accommodate ASA 5510 connection to the core switch.

Thank you,

forman

Hi,

It may not. This is what I found in docs..

"The 1000BASE-T SFP can support 10/100/1000 speeds only on the Cisco Catalyst 2970, 3560, and 3750 Series Switches"

Hello,

As per compatibility matrix that indeed is limited to speed of 1000 only:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/interfaces_modules/transceiver_modules/compatibility/matrix/OL_6981.html#wp142660

So 10/100 speeds are not supported by GLC-T here.
