Hi,

Have never used the 3064 series but it should not affect the performance of the switch as it is pretty powerful.

  1.28-Tbps switching capacity
●  Forwarding rate of 950 mpps
●  Line-rate traffic throughput (both Layer 2 and 3) on all ports
●  Configurable Maximum Transmission Units (MTUs) of up to 9216 bytes (jumbo frames)

i am using GRE/IPIP to a ip transits and i have around 500mbps-1g traffic on it, as i know GRE/ipip ecapsulate the traffic so i am worry if it takes effect on my cpu or performance switch and during attacks it causes problem,

so am i safely running gre/ipipo with no worry about performnace?

thank you.

Hi,

What I would do is add a few at a time and then monitor the CPU, memory, and the overall health of the device. If all looks good, add more if not stop and figure out the issue before adding more. Once all added and working, continue monitoring the device for some time to make sure nothing unexpected happens.
