Hard & Soft buffer allocation on different Cat 9x00 platforms
Buffer allocation on Cat9x00 platforms
Does anyone know correct buffer allocation for Catalyst 9300 w/ UADP 2.0 ASIC, 9500 high-performance w/ UADP 3.0 ? Specifically, global hard limit for hard buffers and global soft limit for soft buffers. In QoS documentation for both platforms the same global hard limit (5705 buffers) and soft limit (27024 buffers) are mentioned. Nevertheless, those platforms are based on diferent ASICS, UADP 2.0 in case of Cat9300, UADP 2.0XL in case of low-speed Cat9500 an UADP 3.0 for high-performance Cat9500. Each ASIC has different buffers - 2x 8MB for 2.0, 2x16MB for 2.0XL and common 36MB buffer shared by both cores in case of UADP 3.0.
