Hello,
On my 3850 switch, I would like to know how to check the counters for hardware switched packets and software packets through the VLAN.
which one is the "sh int counter" I would essentially like to know every packet that is traversing a switchport.

Check the below command , hope it will work..
show platform qos dscp-cos counters gigabitEthernet x/y/z

That command is incomplete. This is what it lists after gigabitEthernet x/y/z:
switch1#sh platform qos dscp-cos counters g2/0/29 ?

Are you sure this is just hardware switched traffic counters? It seems more like just packets for qos
