help me out on CRC and Input Errors

Dear All,

Need suggestion and possibilities when CRC erros and input error generates. I have a cisco switch and one of it port generate CRC and input errors, this port is connected to call manager.

Please hlp me out what are the possibilities of these CRC and input erroers and how to solve this issue.

In simple language CRC and input errors refer to Layer 1 issues could be a faulty port or cable.

Few thingsto be checked when CRC/frame errors:

1.Both the end of the interfaces should have same speed and duplex settings.

2. Check the phyisical cabling , if possible change the cable and ports.

3. Check the MTU setting between both the interfaces.

If your switch supports TDR, use the "test cable-diagnostics tdr" command.
