help with 3rd party SFP in A9K-2X100GE-SE

We are attempting to install a 3rd party (Juniper 100GBASE-ER4) 100G optic into a Cisco A9K-2X100GE-SE os Ver 5.1.1.

We are trying for a good loop back test however it keeps failing.  Does anyone have expertise in this area of getting a 3rd party SFP working with this unit?

We would gladly pay for a successful resolution.

Hi,

Usually Juniper optics will not work in Cisco devices and visa versa. I would recommend  you get Cisco optics.

Thanks

John

Is there not any sort of command that can be ran to get the unit to ignore that they are not Cisco SFPs, and use them anyway?

There are certain Cisco 3rd party made optics that work with Cisco device, but no all vendors.  As John said, usually you can't use Juniper optics for Cisco devices and vice versa.

HTH
