Are you referring to the VLAN interface?
If you delete a VLAN with an interface the interface will go down but will not be deleted itself.
Thus, you must manually delete the interface ((config#) no int vlan <#>).

I believe you are asking what happens if you delete a VLAN? If so, the answer is interfaces who have membership within it are orphaned and become members of the default VLAN (i.e. 1)
