High availability issues with Cat6k Sup1a

Hello people,

Currently we're seeing problems with one of our 6500 switches. Last night the CatOS was upgraded from CatOS 6.3.5 to 7.4.3.

The switch has been running in the state with the supervisor in slot1 as standby and the supervisor in slot2 as Active. Just after the upgrade the situation was normal again with the sup in slot1 as Active and the sup in slot2 as standby. After verifying an hour later the supervisor in slot1 had gone to standby state and the sup in slot2 had assumed the active role.

Some questions:

- Is the HA impacted because of this? Will the failover work when the supervisor in slot2 will go down or bad?

- Is there a reason for the supervisors acting like this?

Anyone who can help?

I can provide a sh-tech later,i can't upload.It stops at about 60% :(

Kind regards,

Kurt

Without a force switchover the Supervisor Engines won't be able to restore their original roles after an upgrade (their active and standby status).
