Hi ,
I have a question , I have a NetApp storage connected to a cisco nexus 2000 switch (Gigabit ethernet) the parent switch is a Nexus 7000.
Stations send data to this interface over the LAN .
I have polled the interface using PRTG and Ciscoworks , there are peaks that reach thousands of precent above the limit of the interface (1Gig)
this isnt something new and I noticed it before , People have been complaining from time to time about slowness but I am not sure the two are related
there arent any errors on the port or Discards
I also attached a picture of the graph (notice the scale is in Gigabit)
I wanted to know what the graph means and what happens when the port utilization reaches above its capacity
where can I look for signs on the switch ?(helpfull commands and tips to find bottlenecks)
thanks
