Hi,

IP SLA  has nothing to do with number of ports. Can you elaborate your question a little bit more ?

Regards.

Alain

Hi Rey,

As suggested by Alain IPSLA has nothing to do with number of ports on a router.

IPsla has the ability to use Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) Pings to identify whether the Link/IP/interface at the remote end is up/down.

If you are looking for a router which has the IPsla capab, please follow the cisco navigator where it showcases the different images and its configurations.

Hope this helps you

Thanks,

srikanth

Hi Alain,

Actually there was just a discussion between us here.  Somebody was asking for a route that supports IP SLA with 2 FE ports.  One of my colleague has ask as to why is that somebody ask for a 2 port FE router when instead three is needed.  I was a little confuse so I tried the experts.

    You have answer our question.

Thank you so much.
