How to change the below default values:
Hello Time 2 sec Max Age 20 sec Forward Delay 15 sec
Aging Time 20
I'm not seeing any parameter indicating them in the root bridge.
Switch0(config)#spanning-tree vlan 10 ?
priority Set the bridge priority for the spanning tree
root Configure switch as root

Thanks in advance

Yes PT have limitation about specific commands:
Here is the commands to change:
spanning-tree [vlan stp-list] max-age seconds
Interval the switch waits between receiving BPDUs from the root switch.
Enter a number from 6 to 200.
spanning-tree [vlan stp-list] hello-time seconds
Interval from 1 to 10 seconds.
spanning-tree [vlan stp-list] forward-time seconds
Forward-delay interval from 4 to 200 seconds.
Hope it helps.
Reagrds
The max-age setting must be greater than the hello-time setting.

Is this on real equipment? You should have options for forward-time and hello-time after you specify the vlan.... What platform is this?

Packet Tracer is still quite limited in what it can do. You could look into using the Cisco Learning Labs.

So will PT help me to pass CCNA or not ?
11-13-2013 12:50 AM
Hi chandu,
PT is more then enough for CCNA.
But still if you Cisco devices then u can try with them.
Try some PT simulated question from Internet and try to solve them.
