Hi,

Using the well-known Feature Navigator:

www.cisco.com/go/fn

Stuff in your IOS = s72033-pk9sv-mz.122-17d.SXB8.bin

Then you will find what feature set are there ..

HTH,

lP

Thanks for the reply. But i see that there are two feature sets (Advanced IP W and IP W).

Is there a way where we can come to know which one exactly is installed?

Hi gautamzone,

(please rate)

you can find the Features through http://tools.cisco.com/ITDIT/CFN/jsp/index.jsp.

go by "Search by Platform "

I wonder if either of the people who suggested using the feature navigator actually tried it with the image name that GAUTAM gets from his switch. I tried it and was amazed to discover that the Feature Navigator gave 2 feature sets based on that image name. I have not seen it do that before. But it certainly complicates the effort to determine which feature set.

I wonder if you could go into the Feature Navigator and use the option to compare two images, select the same version number and select the 2 feature sets. The comparison should show some features that are unique to one (or perhaps some features that are unique to each) of the feature sets. He then could check to see which features are actually supported on his switch.

Or maybe this is an issue on which to open a case with Cisco TAC (assuming that the switch is covered by a maintenance contract).

I compared the two and both the images have the same features, file size, BSD Checksum, Router Checksum, MD5 values. So, bascially its the same file mentioned with two different feature set names. No matter which one you click on, the same file would get downloaded.

Found some more information on this. The binaries are the same between the two images. The difference is that

ADV IP W/MPLS/IPV6/SSH/3DES + BGP includes the license, hence support for MPLS and IPv6.

HTH,

~Vaibhav

It would spoiled the fun of learning, woundn' t it ?

Take for granted, feature navigator is nowhere near the benchmark! but that is Cisco issue.

Peace,

lP
