how to download ios software

Hi, I have many cisco dsl routers which need to be upgraded.

Iam only registered into forums,I{m not a cco user, then how can I download them? is necessary to pay to download them?

If the routers are not covered by a maintenance contract (and it sounds like they are not since he does not have a regular CCO ID) then it is not correct to say that the IOS can be downloaded without paying anything for it. I believe that leagally a router must be under an active maintenance contract or the IOS must be purchased.
