How to match a shaping contract using burst excess with a policing contract

Hi,

1) I would like to know how to define a policing contract that would match the following shaping policy:

policy-map SHAPE_768K

class class-default

   shape average 768000 96000 46320000

  

If my understanding of shaping is correct, because of this large Be, it would be possible to sustain a 1.544 Mb/s rate for 30 second (1.544Mb/s*30sec = 46320000 bits).

What would be the "be" value for the policing map in order to support the 1.544 Mb/s rate for a 30 seconds without dropping any bits?

I know that shaping and policing used two different algorithm but I am not sure that I really understand how to size the excess burst (be) in such a way that it is compatible with the be defined in the shaping contract.

2) I also would like to know if the Tc for policing is fix for the 2600/2800 families or does it follow the Tc=Bc/CIR relation.  If it follows this relation, is there any hard limit for the Tc value. (I would imagine that a smaller Tc is optimum).
